On the auspicious occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, observing Mahatma Gandhi’s 154th birth anniversary, the S N Singh and Amit Gala of Swarlipi Charitable Trust took a commendable step by organizing a Maha Arogya Shivir Free Medical Camp in Ankleshwar city, located in the Bharuch district of Gujarat. This event aimed to extend a healing hand to the flood-affected population, providing essential medical services to over 15,000 individuals.

The vast range of medical services offered at the camp played a crucial role in addressing various health concerns. These included TB testing, eye checkups, bone density assessment, EST (Exercise Stress Test), ECG (Electrocardiogram), sugar tests, blood tests, spectacle distribution, medicine distribution, sickle cell tests and anaemia screenings. Additionally, 5,000 ration kits were distributed to those in need, ensuring a comprehensive approach to healthcare.

The medical camp turned out to be a huge success as it received significant support from diverse reputed organizations including Indian Oil, Gail, EIL (Engineers India Limited), HP (Hindustan Petroleum), OPAL (ONGC Petro Additions Limited), NRL (Numaligarh Refinery Limited) and OIL INDIA LIMITED. Their support boosted the impact of the medical camp, allowing for a more widespread reach and enhanced assistance to the flood-affected population.

It is a known fact that regular medical checkups play a pivotal role in maintaining good health by detecting potential health concerns at an early stage. Such medical camps empower individuals to take proactive measures to prevent the escalation of illnesses and ensure a better quality of life.

Amit Gala, the visionary behind Swarlipi Charitable Trust, driven by a deep-rooted sense of compassion and social responsibility, shared the vision behind organizing such medical camps. He emphasized, “Our team at Swarlipi Charitable Trust is here to serve humanity and address the health needs of the underprivileged, especially during challenging times like floods. We believe in Mahatma Gandhi’s ideology of service to the community and make a positive impact on the lives of those in need.”

Through their dedicated efforts and commitment to healthcare, the charitable trust is a ray of hope for the underprivileged population. While they are working towards contributing to the larger goal of building a healthier and prosperous nation, the charitable trust aims to organise several other medical camps for the betterment of public welfare.
