Mobiles and tabs were distributed to orphan children in a program organized by Shrikant Bhartiya, founder and MLA of Tarpan Foundation at Garware Club in Mumbai. The new speaker of Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha, Rahul Narvekar, Mumbai Police Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar and Swami Brijmohan Das were present as chief guests at the distribution ceremony. The program started with the worship of the statue of Swami Vivekananda and lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries.
The orphans of Maharashtra have got the umbrella of Tarpan Parivar, so the luck of these unfortunate children has brightened. In our democratic country, everyone should be treated with equal opportunities. Government system was created for that. The work that belongs to the government is being done by organizations like Tarpan Foundation . Adv.Rahul Narvekar asserted that in the coming time, Maharashtra government will give all possible support to this organization.
Police Commissioner of Mumbai, Vivek Phansalkar said that if Tarpan Foundation takes the initiative to help the orphans of Mumbai city, then Mumbai Police Force will come forward for this good work. He was speaking at the distribution ceremony of mobile and tab phones organized by Tarpan Foundation.
While introducing the program, Mr. Srikanth Bharatiya said that when the serious problem of rehabilitation of orphan boys and girls in Orphanage homes, who had completed 18 years, came up, Tarpan Foundation was established to find an answer to this problem. He said that in the last three years, 152 orphans were adopted and given social and educational rehabilitation on behalf of Tarpan. He announced the launch of Tarpan Fellowship for orphans who want to appear in UPSC and MPSC exams. The program was moderated by Director of Tarpan, Santosh Manurkar. The vote of thanks was given by Mrs. Uma Chavan.
