Komal Thacker, Adv. Rubina Rizvi and Dr. Akhtar Rizvi Inaugurate ALF NOVA Aesthetic Skin Clinic in Powai

Actress Komal Thacker, the first Gujarati actress to walk the Cannes Film Festival red carpet three times, inaugurated ALF NOVA Aesthetic Skin Clinic at Powai’s Hiranandani Gardens on Thursday. The launch ceremony was attended by members of the medical fraternity, entrepreneurs and prominent guests from Mumbai’s social and business circles.
The clinic has been founded by Dr. Alifiya Rizvi, a consulting aesthetic physician, cosmetologist, trichologist and aesthetic gynaecologist. Addressing the gathering, Dr. Alifiya Rizvi spoke about the growing demand for integrated aesthetic and wellness services and the need for accessible, specialised care under one roof.
Among those present at the inauguration were Shivrama Bhandari of Shivas Salon, Ashok Dhamankar, Founder of Magnate Publishing and Publisher of Society Achievers Magazine, builder Dr. Akhtar Rizvi, and Adv. Rubina Rizvi, Director of Rizvi Foundation. The guests participated in the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony and extended their best wishes to the founder.
Speaking on the occasion, Komal Thacker said that confidence and self-image have become increasingly important in today’s fast-paced world. “Modern aesthetic clinics play an important role in helping people feel more confident. I congratulate Dr. Alifiya Rizvi on this initiative and wish her success in the years ahead,” she said.
Known for her work in Gujarati cinema, Komal Thacker has appeared in films such as Aa To Prem Chhe, Kasoombo, Hameer and Sanghvi & Sons. Her appearances at the Cannes Film Festival in 2022, 2023 and 2025 have made her one of the few Gujarati film personalities to gain visibility on an international platform.
Adv. Rubina Rizvi described the launch as a proud moment for the family. “Dr. Alifiya has dedicated significant effort and commitment to building ALF NOVA. The clinic reflects her passion for aesthetic medicine and her desire to help people feel comfortable and confident,” she said.
Dr. Alifiya Rizvi noted that patients often seek consultations for multiple concerns, ranging from skin and hair care to aesthetic and wellness treatments. “Our effort has been to create a space where people can access different services in a professional environment while receiving personalised attention,” she said.
Located at Gateway Plaza in Hiranandani Gardens, Powai, the clinic has commenced operations and will offer a range of aesthetic, skin, hair and wellness-related services.
