After marrying Pooja in a Nikah ceremony and giving her the new name “Nagma,” Babban brings her home, where she discovers a shocking truth: Babban already has two wives.
The first wife, Shabana, belongs to a Muslim family, while the second wife, Tabassum, comes from a Rajput family and was formerly known as Neetu Singh before marriage.
Pooja’s parents strongly disapprove of the marriage and are devastated by the circumstances surrounding their only daughter’s life. Unable to accept her painful reality, Pooja desperately wants to escape Babban’s control and toxic household.
Tabassum consoles Pooja and promises to help her, as she herself had once fallen into a similar trap and deeply understands Pooja’s suffering.
Meanwhile, Pooja’s father, Deena Nath Dixit – a respected school principal – dies of a heart attack caused by the emotional trauma and humiliation surrounding his daughter’s situation.
