Times have changed; children can take their parents’ rishta too: Anjali Tatrari
2 min readSony Entertainment Television’s popular show, Mere Dad Ki Dulhan has won the hearts of the audience and has kept them glued to the television screens with the incredible performance of Varun Badola and Shweta Tiwari as Amber Sharma and Guneet Sikka in the show. The two have entertained the viewers with their ever-changing dynamics between them. Finally, in the show, Guneet confessed her feelings to him and the viewers are enjoying the refreshing wave of the romance of Amber and Guneet.
In the current track, Niya will turn cupid for her dad by taking his rishta to Guneet. This will make for one of the most interesting turns in the plot.
On shooting for the same, Anjali Tatrari shares, “Love can be discovered at any age. Times have changed, children can also be matchmakers as much as their parents. It’s great that the mindset of people is evolving, and they are understanding that there is no defined age to marry or settle down. Everyone’s journey is different, and they can find love at any point or phase in life. Just the way parents think for their children and their well-being, children too, should be responsible and considerate of their parents’ feelings and lives.”
Adding further to this, she said, “It is a beautiful sentiment and there are many examples where we see children have played cupid for their parents, found a perfect match for them, and helped them settle down. My character Niya is giving out a strong message to everyone watching the show that, no matter how old you are you can always find your ideal companion just like her dad Amber found his ladylove, Guneet.”
