Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais attends the 6th Moonwhite Films International Film Festival

Maharashtra Governor Shri Ramesh Bais attended the awards ceremony of the 6th Moonwhite Films International Film Festival 2023 held at Mukkti Foundation Hub in Mumbai as the chief guest and congratulated Devashish Sargam Raj for organising such a wonderful film festival and award function. He also congratulated all the award winners on his behalf. Many celebrities including Padmashree Anup Jalota, Jaspinder Narula, Singer Agam Kumar Nigam, lyricist Sameer Anjaan, Dilraj kaur, Pandit Suvashit Raj, Director Sudhir Attawar, Actress Alexandra Taylor and others registered their presence .

The lamp was lit by Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais, Shri Anup Jalota, Devashish Sargam (Raj), Jaspinder Narula, Shipra Raj and Pandit Suvashit Raj. The event then began after the National anthem and State Anthem respectively. The Hon’ Governor of Maharashtra was felicitated by Shri Anup Jalota, Devashish Sargam (Raj) and Suvashit Raj. Singer Agam Kumar Nigam received the Prestigious ‘LifeTime Achievement Award’ and Legendary lyricist Sameer Anjaan was honoured with ‘Decade Award’.The Kannada film Mrityorma received four awards from the hands of the Governor, in which the award for Best Director Sudhir Attavar ,Best film and Best Actress was given to Nivedita.

The audience thoroughly enjoyed the music and award night . Anup Jalota sung Teri Aankhen and Aisi Laagi Lagan. Agam Kumar Nigam entertained the audience by singing “Likhe Jo Khat Tujhe”, “Suhani Raat Dhal Chuki” and “Badi Mastani Hai Meri Mehbooba”. Singer and performer Lela from Georgia presented Bollywood Song  “Besharam Rang’ and English Song We Will Rock You in a different way, and won everyone’s heart with her performance. Mr. Devashish Sargam ( Raj ) gave his exemplary performance and sung “Mein hu Don” & “Yeh Kaali Kaali Aankhein”, Dancer Rishika presented an excellent classical dance on the song “Mohe Panghat Pe”.

The Documentary Film No Water Land 1st Winner , Directed By Saumitra Singh which tells the true story of a village in Nashik, Maharashtra where people are deprived of clean drinking water, was also honoured.

TV Actress Deepika Singh won the best actress award for her debut film Titu Ambani, along with Winner – Tushar Pandey As Best Actor, Raghubir Yadav Winner for the Best Supporting Role, and Special Festival Mention Winner – Brijendra Kala

Good Girl received the Best Director Winner Rajesh Balwani .

Among the other winners included Hey Foreigner – Best Actress Winner Alexandra Taylor, Best Actress Supporting Role Winner Manashi Sinha.

Bali Frodo under the International Amateur Short Category Winner Bali Frodo.

The 7th Night Mao Mao Revisits Best International Animation Film Winner The 7th Night MaoMao Revisits & Best Director Winner ahLoong,

Woman in the maze in the international film feature category received awards Best Actress Winner Meredith Vancuyk, Best Director Winner Mitesh Patel.

Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais said that he participated in the 6th MWFIFF at the behest of Anup Jalota. This program was very well organised & enthusiastic. Agam Kumar Nigam sang the old classic songs very well. He also added by saying such songs are not being made today. In today’s songs there is too much music and the lyrics are not effective.

Padmashri Anup Jalota expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Governor Ramesh Bais for coming to this program and saying many inspiring things. He talked about the importance of singing songs like old songs and also talked about making films for children.

Jaspinder Narula said that this festival is the dream of Devashish Sargam Raj and he has got a lot of support from Anup Jalota in organizing such an event, he has the blessings of his parents. I have been associated with Moonwhite Films International Film Festival for the last 5 years, I pray to God that Devashish gets a lot of success.

Devashish Sargam Raj, founder and director of MWFIFF, said that this is the sixth year of this festival and we all are very happy. It was a matter of good fortune for us that the Governor of Maharashtra came to our awards ceremony and encouraged all of us.

Renowned astrologer and jury member Pandit Suvashit Raj said that this is the sixth year of the Moonwhite Films International Film Festival 2023 and the number 6 is very lucky. This year was undoubtedly much better than previous years.

 
Dilraj Kaur also sang her hit songs and gave her best wishes to Devashish Sargam ( Raj ) for organising this great festival.
