“Awards Are Not Just an Honour but a Responsibility,” Says Actor Aaishvary Thackeray After His Debut Performance in Nishaanchi

Actor Aaishvary Thackeray has emerged as a promising new talent in Indian cinema after being honoured with Best Debut Male (Jury Choice) for his performance in Nishaanchi, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Anurag Kashyap.

“I want to thank my director Anurag sir for trusting me and allowing me to be a part of his cinema. Many people call him a genius or a maverick, but I feel fortunate that my journey began with such an honest creator,” he said.
He also acknowledged the contribution and support of his co-stars Vedika Pinto, Monika Panwar, Zeeshan Ayyub, Kumud Mishra, and Vineet Kumar Singh, along with the entire team behind the film.
Reflecting on the honour, the actor said that such recognition brings a deeper responsibility for an artist.
“For me, awards are not just a moment of celebration. They are a responsibility to do better, to tell meaningful stories, to refine my craft, and to keep evolving as an actor,” he said.
During his speech, Aaishvary also shared a short shayari written by him, saying:
“Raste main apne banaunga,
Galtiyan meri ab na badhaunga,
Kamiyabi paane ke baad bhi
Duniya sabko sunaunga.”
