Renowned playback singer Sukhwinder Singh has launched his latest track, ‘Nagini,’ marking the beginning of a new musical chapter in his illustrious career. Released under his music label, Musique Studio, the song is a high-energy entertainment track that fuses Punjabi beats with international dance rhythms.
Singh, who has long been celebrated for his powerful and soulful voice, has not only sung but also composed ‘Nagini.’ The lyrics are penned by legendary lyricist Babu Singh Maan, while the choreography is handled by the renowned Lollypop.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the song, Singh shared that the idea was sparked during his world tour in America. While visiting Mexico, he encountered a group of Indian-origin Mexicans enthusiastically dancing to Punjabi music. The unexpected sight left a lasting impression, leading him to channel that vibrant energy into ‘Nagini.’
“The joy of seeing Punjabi music transcend borders was overwhelming. That experience shaped the essence of ‘Nagini,’ making it a true global dance anthem,” Singh said.
The song marks the first installment in Singh’s new musical series, which he revealed will feature a new release every two months. Each track in the series will explore a diverse range of themes while maintaining a strong entertainment quotient.
With a career spanning decades, Singh has been a dominant force in Bollywood music. His rendition of ‘Jai Ho’ from ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ won both an Academy Award and a Grammy Award in 2010. He has also won two Filmfare Awards for ‘Chaiyya Chaiyya’ (‘Dil Se…’) and ‘Haule Haule’ (‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’), as well as a National Film Award for his performance in ‘Haider.’
As he embarks on this new journey, ‘Nagini’ sets the stage for an exciting phase in Singh’s musical evolution, reaffirming his ability to innovate while staying true to his signature style.
