India’s First AI-Based Film ‘IRAH’ trailer Unveiled: Featuring Rohit Bose Roy and Karishma Kotak
2 min readIn recent times, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been a topic of significant discussion. The first Hindi film on this subject, “IRAH,” launched its trailer and song in Mumbai. Starring Rohit Bose Roy, Rajesh Sharma, Karishma Kotak, and Rakshit Bhandari in pivotal roles, the film is produced by Big Films Media and directed by Sam Bhattacharjee. Distributed by Rakesh Singh Bhadoria of Iamplex Theatrical Distribution, the film is set to release in theaters across India on April 4. Music composer Sameer Sen was also present at the song launch event.
The trailer of the film “IRAH” showcases the misuse of AI technology, shedding light on its negative aspects. Rohit Bose Roy expressed his excitement about the picture, which is set to release on April 4, 2024, a day before his birthday.
Rohit Bose Roy shared, “This film, based on AI, is very special to me as I portray the central character. It was my first experience working in such a genre, and almost the entire film was shot through VFX. I have numerous scenes in VFX where I had to deliver dialogues in thin air, without anyone in front of me. My character’s name is Hari Singh, and if you reverse it, it becomes IRAH. I create an app called IRAH, which can recreate anything. The film revolves around what would happen if this app falls into the wrong hands.”
He further added, “My birthday is on April 5, and by releasing the film on April 4, director Sam Bhattacharjee has given me an excellent birthday gift. The entire film rests on my shoulders. While it is based on the backdrop of AI, it encompasses romance, drama, suspense, and songs. The suspense in the film is incredible, and viewers must watch the climax of the last five minutes. Shooting in London was a memorable experience. Karishma Kotak is an excellent actress, and it was a fantastic working experience with her.”
Director Sam Bhattacharjee commented, “Today’s era is dominated by technology. People don’t fight with guns anymore; they fight with technology. Today, data has become the most important. Our film revolves around the revolution of AI. I first shared this idea with Rohit Bose Roy, and I’m delighted that he agreed to portray this character. We worked on IRAH’s VFX for three years.”
